Deacon Dave Coles

Dave Coles was ordained as a deacon at Pleasant Prairie Baptist Church in January of 2015.

Dave was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan, mostly on cold breakfast cereal.  He is a Navy veteran.

First baptized as a believer at age 17 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Battle Creek, Dave underwent baptism by immersion in 1989 at Huron Hills Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he and his late wife Patricia raised their two children.  The Coles family joined Pleasant Prairie Baptist Church in 2005 by transfer of membership from Packard Road Baptist Church of Ann Arbor.

Dave has taught Sunday School to most age groups, currently adults at PPBC, and participates in the praise team.  He has also served various other ministry teams and committees.

Dave and Anne were married in PPBC at the height of the COVID pandemic of 2020.  They reside mainly in Gurnee, Illinois.  Together they share four grown children (plus spouses), four grandchildren, a Pembroke Welsh corgi and a Danish Warmblood.
